This Privacy Policy explains how Silane Tech Inc. (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the DD Live TV app and any related services (“Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1) What We Collect

Personal Data

We do not intentionally collect personal identifiers like your name, email, phone number, or contact list.

Sensitive Data

Location data, including approximate or precise location and (if you opt in) background location.

Device & App Info

Device model, OS/version, app version, network type, IP address, device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID), crash & performance data, and basic app usage analytics.

In-App Activity

Interactions with content (e.g., radio/news selections), basic engagement events needed to operate and improve the Service.

Installed Apps (Monedata)

If you explicitly opt in, third-party monetization SDKs (e.g., Monedata) may collect a list of installed apps and usage stats for analytics/measurement. See Third-Party Services below.

2) Why We Collect It (How We Use Data)

Provide and maintain the Service (streaming, notifications, content selection).
Personalize content (e.g., local radio/news) and ads based on your region and interests.
Measure performance, diagnose crashes, and improve app reliability and features.
Communicate important updates and respond to support requests.
Detect, prevent, and address technical or policy violations and abuse.

3) Location & Background Location

With your permission, we collect location data. If you grant “Allow all the time / Background” access, the app may access location even when not actively in use to:

Curate radio/news content for your area.
Show more relevant advertisements.
Gather analytics that help us improve regional experiences.

You can change your mind at any time in System Settings → Apps → DD Live TV → Permissions → Location and in the app’s own settings (if provided).

4) Ads, Analytics, and Third-Party Services

We use SDKs and services that may process limited data to provide ads, analytics, and crash reporting. They act as our processors and must comply with applicable policies and laws.

Core Services

Monedata (Optional, Opt-In)

Operated by DATA PAYMENTS OÜ (Tallinn, Estonia). If you explicitly opt in, Monedata may collect device identifiers, location, network coverage/performance, installed apps list, and usage stats for analytics/measurement with its partners.

5) Infatica P2P Proxy Network (Optional, Opt-In)

If you explicitly opt in, your device may participate in Infatica’s global peer-to-peer proxy network. This means:

Some of your network bandwidth may route encrypted third-party traffic while your device is idle and connected.
No personal content you create or view is shared via this feature.
You can disable this at any time in the app’s settings.

6) Data Sharing

We may share limited data with the services above to operate the app (ads, analytics, crash logs). We do not sell personal or sensitive user data. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect users, enforce our terms, or in a merger/acquisition (with notice where required).

7) Retention & Deletion

We retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes described, or as required by law. You can request deletion of your data or app-specific identifiers: support@ddnationaltv.in. We may need to verify your request and device/app details.

8) Your Choices & Controls

Permissions: Change location and notification permissions in system settings at any time.
Ads Personalization: Reset or limit your Advertising ID in system settings (Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads).
Background Location: You can switch to “While using the app” or revoke access entirely.
Monedata / Infatica: Opt in/out within in-app settings (where provided) or uninstall the app to stop all collection.

9) Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10) Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child provided data, contact us to delete it.

11) International Transfers

Data may be processed outside your country. We take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate protections are in place consistent with this Policy and applicable law.

12) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted within the app or on this page. Your continued use after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
